JANET JACKSON celebrates the twenty year anniversary of her album “Control” with the release of her newest “JANET 20 Y.O.” on Sept. 26th. The first single to drop is a duet with NELLY…”Call On Me”. The fabulous makeup artist; FRAN COOPER has been working with Janet for many years and has created another beautiful look with a mix of shine and matte textures.

TYRA BANKS producer and host of AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL will debut CYCLE 7 Sept. 20th on the new CW Television Network. Tyra and her same panel of judges: Jay, Nigel, Twiggy, and “Miss J” will put the next 13 model wanna be’s through their paces to win the Top Model spot. I don’t know about you but I’m starting to lose interest in this show. They need to do something to change it up. Maybe the guest judges will help.
Is there a top model in this bunch…we shall see, but I have my doubts.

CHRISTY TURLINGTON gets my vote as one of the sweetest super models in the business. Her clients think so too because MAYBELLINE, who had Christy under contract 10 years ago, has brought the classic beauty back. As a wife, a Mother, an author, a model, and fashion designer…you could ask, Maybe it’s Maybelline?

KRISTEN DUNST stars in MARIE-ANTOINETTE the new film written and directed by Sofia Coppola for Columbia Pictures (opens in theaters Oct 20th). And on the cover of Sept VOGUE in a costume by Milena Canonero (costume designer on the film) and makeup by STEPHANIE MARIS with hair by ODILE GILBERT. Although Coppola’s modern take on the life of the 18th century French Queen was not well received at the Canne Film Fest.
I think it will be worth seeing for the period hair and makeup and the dramatic gowns by McQueen and Galliano… if nothing else. So don’t say “off with her head” just yet.

FASHION ROCKS magazine, Vogue’s annual supplement is on news stands now. The cover shot by Mario Testino is pretty disappointing of Beyonce’ and Jamie Foxx. The inside fashion pages of MARILYN MANSON and LILY COLE, photographed by MILES ALDRIDGE, make up for it though. Manson has co-written, with plans to star and direct, a new film about Lewis Carroll the author of Alice in Wonderland. PHANTASMAGORIA – THE VISIONS OF LEWIS CARROLL will also star model Lily Cole as Alice. And there’s talk Marilyn may play the duel role of both Lewis Carroll and the Red Queen. MADONNA still causing controversy…this time when the Swedish Corp. H&M posted a giant image of their “face” for fall/winter ‘06 on the side of Milan’s Duomo, the world’s largest Gothic cathedral. Oh well, at least she didn’t pose on a crucifix…opps.
