Gisele Bundchen tops Forbes.com’s 2007 list of The Top Earning Models in the World, raking in $33 million. Gisele is a workhorse who leads the pack by juggling almost 20 campaigns. She also brings in at least $6 million a year by licensing her name to a Brazilian shoe company, Grendene. But watch for Bundchen’s fortunes to possibly decline next year: In December, her record-breaking $5 million a year deal with Victoria’s Secret expires. Aerin Lauder, Senior Vice President, Creative Director, Estee Lauder, announced in January that the brand has signed Hilary Rhoda as a new face of Estee Lauder. Above is the first advertising campaign for their skincare line on EsteeLauder.com.

False Lashes Used In Mascara Ads…

This is something that has been bothering me for some time. Every ad I’ve seen lately has a model wearing false eyelashes to promote their mascara. What happened to truth in advertising? This is just so blatantly obvious to me as a makeup artist, esp. in the commercials…and now the public is evidently getting wise to it. “L’Oréal has been condemned for producing “misleading” mascara adverts featuring Penelope Cruz”.
